Playing games and adding features to them are free for everyone. Creators pay for the games Hivecoding hosts for them, by how many and what kind.
Every plan includes
- A page for each game, playable on phones and laptops, with a link to share
- Its server and database, with sign-in for players
- Contributions: anyone can add features with their own AI coding tool, and you approve them
- Every change tested before it goes live
- Every version kept, and any of them restored in one step
- Player stats, error reports, and web builds for itch.io and other portals
- Adding features is free
- Contributors use their own AI subscription, like Claude, and need only a free account. Plans are for the games you host.
- Playing is free
- Anyone can play a public or shared game, with no account.
- What counts
- Every game you haven't paused counts toward your plan, published or not. A paused game keeps everything, and nobody can play it.
- Change plans any time
- A bigger plan starts right away, and you pay the difference for the rest of the month. A smaller one starts at your next renewal.
- When a plan ends
- Games your plan no longer covers are paused, not deleted. You choose which to host again from your dashboard.
- Kinds of game
- Solo and Puzzle games are single-player. Battler, Racer, Party and Board games are multiplayer. World and Overworld games are worlds. A game you bring from elsewhere is the kind you pick for it.
