Draft, October 2026. Under legal review before public launch.
Playing
- Playing a game needs no account. Games run in a sandbox on a separate domain and can't read your Hivecoding session.
- We count plays and how long sessions last so creators can see how their games do. Anonymous players get a random id stored in their browser.
Accounts
- We keep your email, handle, and the games, changes, ratings and ideas you make. Your handle appears on the changes you make.
- Payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
The CLI
- Signing the CLI in keeps a token on your computer, and we keep only its hash. Signing out, or deleting your account, ends it.
- The CLI sends us the game files you publish, and nothing else from your computer. It never reads your AI tool's login.
Games' code
- Each game's code lives in a private repository Hivecoding keeps for it. Its creator, and the people they let add to it, can download it.
- Errors from players' browsers are reported with the game version so creators can fix them.
Your choices
- You can delete your account at the bottom of your dashboard. It cancels your plan, hides your games from everyone, signs out the CLI, and removes your email, name and picture. Changes you made to other people's games stay in those games, credited to a deleted account.
