Terms
Draft, October 2026. Under legal review before public launch.
Who can use Hivecoding
- Accounts are for people 18 and older. Playing games needs no account.
- You're responsible for what you publish, and for keeping your account and the computers you sign the CLI in on secure.
Games and contributions
- Creators own the games they make. A creator decides what goes into their game, and can switch off, restore or export any change in it.
- When you send a change to someone else's game, you license it to that game's creator, including for exports. Your name stays on it while it's live.
- Games on Hivecoding include a license to the Hivecoding engine code inside them.
What can't be published
- Hate, sexual content, harassment, real people's likenesses, copyrighted characters and brands, malware, and anything aimed at harming players, their devices or their items.
- We can switch off any change or game, and close accounts that break these rules.
Your AI tools
- You make games and changes with your own AI tools and accounts, under their terms. Hivecoding doesn't run AI for you.
Plans
- Playing games and adding features to them are free. Plans pay for the games Hivecoding hosts for you, and renew monthly until you cancel.
- A bigger plan starts right away, billed for the rest of the month. A smaller plan, or cancelling, starts at your next renewal.
- Games your plan doesn't cover are paused, not deleted, and you choose which to host.
Changes
- We may change these terms. We'll tell you about material changes before they apply.
